These committees and workgroups are not tied to a particular disaster, but instead focus on their subject matter throughout the year to create guidance documents, best practices, and other resources for the VOAD membership and the general public. You can find some of those resources here.

VOAD facilitates access to training for LTRG case workers, construction teams, and volunteers to have skills and knowledge needed to support individuals and communities through comprehensive long-term recovery. We seek to maximize the use of national partner resources to meet the needs of Vermonters.
We do this through compiling relevant and timely training resources to share through our monthly Training Newsletter. We seek trainings that are within the state or region, that are free to the public, have a focus on recovery, mitigation, resilience building, administration, and other related topics. As the training committee sees gaps in training needs for our LTRG and other grassroots organizations, we will seek resources to organize low-cost, accessible training events.
